BREAKING: a 6-3 conservative Supreme Court
Last night, Republicans in the US Senate, including Florida’s own Marco Rubio and Rick Scott, voted to confirm Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. This is despite Election Day being just a week away.
We know what this is about. This is about striking down the Affordable Care Act, and stripping health care from millions of Floridians in the midst of a pandemic. This is about rolling back decades of progress on civil rights, women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights.
I need you to hear this part: We can do this. There are more Democrats who didn’t vote in 2016—here in Miami-Dade County alone—than Trump’s entire margin of victory in the state of Florida. We MUST turn those voters out this year.
