Miami-Dade Democratic Party Raises Over $3 Million in 2020

MIAMI-DADE, FL: Today the Miami-Dade Democratic Party announced that it raised more than $3 million dollars in 2020, shattering the fundraising record it had set the year before of $607,000. This banner year fundraising has provided the party with the resources to invest in robust organizing throughout the county and support local candidates in key races.

In response to Miami-Dade Democrats’ record breaking fundraising year,

Steve Simeonidis, Chair of the Miami-Dade Democratic Party, released the following statement:

“Miami-Dade County is key to our statewide efforts and this year, we have built an impressive operation that has invested in key local races and supported legislative campaigns at levels never seen before. We are also putting in the work to turn out Democratic voters in this historic election to ensure we send Donald Trump packing and make history in Miami-Dade County by electing the first woman Mayor in Daniella Levine Cava.

“While the Miami-Dade Democratic Party had a historic fundraising year, what's more important is that it’s had a historic year in terms of organizing, voter contact, volunteering and creating sustainable infrastructure for our local Democratic Party as well.”

Digital Ads served to voters in Miami-Dade: More than 3.6 million impressions, reaching more than 800,000 individuals

More than $3 Million raised in 2020
90% of donations under $100, with 2⁄3 of donations being $25 or less
