It's working

I wrote this email update and fundraising pitch in the final weeks of the 2020 presidential campaign.

You need to see these numbers. All the efforts we’ve made to Get Out The Vote are working. Democrats in Miami-Dade County are voting:

  • Democrats requested a total of 282,156 vote-by-mail ballots in Miami-Dade County, and have returned 25.8% of them.
  • Republicans requested a total of 161,855 vote-by-mail ballots and have returned 21.4% of them. Democrats hold a 38,161 vote advantage right now.

Democrats across Florida are voting:

  • 1,916,920 votes have been cast in Florida. 50.4% from Democrats and 29.4% from Republicans.
  • There are still 12,148,707 voters -- including 4,263,759 Democrats -- that have not yet voted.

We've never seen numbers like this before. And while I'm encouraged by these initial results, I know we have a long way to go. We need to make every second of these last 19 days count!
