Miami-Dade Democratic Party Increased Democratic Voter Registration by nearly 14,000 Voters Since 2018

Increased Voter Registration Numbers Point To Highly Engaged Local Party

MIAMI FL: The Miami-Dade Democratic Party announced today that it had grown the voter rolls to 616,553 registered Democrats in Miami-Dade County, an increase of nearly 14,000 voters since the 2018 election. Compared to the number of registered Democrats in Miami-Dade County for the 2016 election, we have grown our numbers by more than 22,000 voters.

“The voter registration data shows that we are in our strongest position yet,” stated Steve Simeonidis, Chair of the Miami-Dade Democratic Party. “Our voter registration committee, volunteers and field staff have shown an incredible commitment to building the strength of our party in Miami-Dade. That Democratic voters are registering at such high numbers shows a level of engagement and enthusiasm that puts us in a formidable position for our August and November elections - and we are not stopping there. Even though campaigns face unprecedented challenges due to the GOP’s failed COVID-19 response, we have pivoted to a digital program and we intend to aggressively register and turn out these New Democrats this Summer and Fall.”
