We are winning, but we can't let up

I wrote this fundraising email on October 7, 2020, as polls were showing Joe Biden leading in Florida.

Despite what you may be seeing in some national polls, this presidential race remains tight in Florida, and we can't let up our organizing efforts here in Miami-Dade.

The stakes are clear: hundreds of thousands Floridians remain unemployed, small businesses are struggling to stay open, and people are facing eviction — but this President is refusing to work with Democrats to pass a deal that would help every American. Donald Trump and Republicans care about one thing, pushing their Supreme Court Nominee through and ripping health care away from millions of Americans. We will be reminding voters of that every day until November 3rd.

The Miami-Dade Democratic Party now has the largest in-person canvassing operation in the state of Florida. Our community engagement organizers have knocked on more than 30,000 doors in the last few weeks, and they've done it in a safe, socially distanced manner.
