Reflecting on what we did in 2021

 
 

Dear Christopher,

We hope you’ve had a great holiday season and that you’re able to start the New Year with health and happiness. As we reflect on all that we have done together, I wanted to highlight all the good that we’ve done with your help.

As you know, Opportunity For All Floridians believes that our economy should work for everyone – not just those at the top. This is why we work so hard to implement change by expanding affordable health care coverage, strengthening unemployment insurance, providing paid leave, making it easier to participate in our democracy, and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all Floridians.

Actions You Took in 2021

We’ve helped tell the stories of thousands of everyday Floridians by collecting stories and making sure the press and our legislators heard these stories.

And, with your help, we’ve helped push over 2,800 petition signatures, more than 8,600 letters directly to elected and appointed officials’ inboxes, and helped publish 18 Op-Eds in 5 major media markets in Florida. We also raised awareness about Florida state issues through surveys and polls to over 6,000 Floridians.

In 2022, our sights are set even higher

We’re branching out and we’ll be doing call campaigns, we’ll be training Floridians to meet with their lawmakers or legislative staff. On social media, we’ll be doing tweet storms and Facebook and Instagram story sharing campaigns. At the center of all of this is the same strategy we’ve always employed: we want Floridians to get empowered, use their voices and share their stories.
